    Our tools and systems

This is a list of all the tools and systems we use and what we use them for.

    Tool What it’s for
Google Workspace Email, calendar, drive and identity
    Slack Team communication
GitHub Source control and code review
    Vercel Hosting
    Cloudflare DNS
Claude Code and general AI use
    Granola Meeting summarisation
    1Password Passwords and secrets

Multi-factor authentication is enforced on all of the above, and single sign-on is turned on wherever a tool supports it. The kit itself, what you may do with a personal device, and what to do if something is lost are on Your equipment.

    • Use a unique, long password for your Mac account, and never share it.
    • Turn on FileVault, so the disk is encrypted if the machine is lost or stolen.
    • Turn on the firewall.
    • Keep macOS and your software up to date. Enable automatic updates.
    • Lock the screen whenever you step away. Set a short auto-lock timeout (1 or 2 minutes).
    • Turn on Find My Mac, so it can be located or wiped remotely if it goes missing.
    • Only install software from the App Store or a publisher you trust.

If your own phone accesses company email, Slack or other work systems:

    • Set a PIN, face or fingerprint unlock that only you know.
    • Keep the device’s operating system and apps up to date.
    • Turn on Find My / remote wipe, so it can be located or wiped if it goes missing.
    • Only install apps from the official app store, and never use jailbroken or rooted device.
