Code of conduct
We want amarti to be a place where everyone can do their best work and be themselves while they do it. This sets out the standard we hold each other to, and what to do when someone falls short of it.
Where this applies
Section titled “Where this applies”Everywhere we are amarti: our own channels and calls, a client’s site or systems, an event we run or attend, and anything online where we are recognisable as working here. It applies to everyone who works with us, whether employed, contracting or partnering.
What we expect
Section titled “What we expect”- Treat people with respect, and assume they mean well.
- Make room for quieter voices and for people who see things differently to you.
- Ask whether feedback is wanted before you give it, give it kindly, and take it well when it is your turn to receive it.
- Respect people’s time, their boundaries and their privacy.
What is not acceptable
Section titled “What is not acceptable”- Harassment, bullying or intimidation, in any form and at any volume.
- Discrimination or exclusion of any kind, on any grounds. The law singles out some characteristics for particular protection (age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy or maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, and sexual orientation), but our standard is broader, and covers anyone treated unfairly for who they are.
- Slurs, demeaning remarks or jokes at someone’s expense, including the small, everyday kind that are easy to wave away.
- Unwanted sexual attention.
- Sharing someone’s private information without their agreement.
Raising a concern
Section titled “Raising a concern”If something crosses the line, whether it happened to you or you saw it happen to someone else, tell someone you trust. If you’re not sure, speak to your manager or Director if that is difficult or if it involves your manager.
You can raise something in confidence. Raising a concern in good faith will never count against you and we will be clear with you about what happens next. Taking these seriously and addressing concerns is the only thing that keeps amarti being a safe place we all want to work.
